Uzbek Embassy Urges Citizens to Temporarily Leave Israel Amid Tensions

@UZDaily
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Israel has issued an urgent advisory to its citizens residing in the country, calling for heightened caution and recommending a temporary departure until the security situation stabilizes.
The diplomatic mission strongly advises compatriots to remain vigilant, strictly adhere to safety measures mandated by Israeli authorities, and stay in designated secure shelters whenever possible while awaiting further instructions.
Officials emphasized the critical importance of following official guidelines, avoiding unnecessary travel outside, and maintaining calm. The embassy specifically recommended that Uzbek nationals consider leaving Israel temporarily due to the escalating regional tensions.
For those choosing to depart via land, the embassy highlighted the "Begin" border crossing on the Israeli-Egyptian frontier as a viable option. This crossing operates 24/7, and Uzbek citizens do not require a visa to enter Egypt's Sinai Peninsula. To expedite the border process, travelers are advised to pay any applicable border fees online in advance.
The use of other land crossings is discouraged. The embassy also cautioned that operating hours for all crossings are subject to change and urged citizens to verify current information before finalizing travel plans.
Uzbek nationals are called upon to monitor updates regularly through official channels, including the website of Uzbekistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its diplomatic missions abroad. Heeding warnings and recommendations from Israeli emergency services is also paramount.
For emergency assistance, citizens can contact the embassy at telephone numbers 03-672-2466, 03-672-2371, 03-758-5075, 03-758-5076, +972 54 485 1397 or via email at il.uzembassy@mfa.
