Kazakh Ambassador Presents Credentials to Grand Duke of Luxembourg

Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Roman Vassilenko, has presented his credentials to Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg.
The ceremony took place at the Grand Ducal Palace. During the subsequent audience, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for developing cooperation between Kazakhstan and Luxembourg.
Ambassador Vassilenko informed the Grand Duke about the political and socio-economic reforms being implemented on the initiative of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He also provided details on the national referendum regarding a new draft Constitution.
In turn, Grand Duke Guillaume conveyed his best wishes to the Head of State. He noted Kazakhstan's growing role in regional and international politics. The monarch expressed Luxembourg's interest in further developing bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, investment, and financial spheres.
Kazakhstan and Luxembourg are consistently developing their political dialogue and economic interaction. The Duchy is one of Europe's leading financial centers and an important partner for Kazakhstan within the European Union.
Luxembourg ranks among the world leaders in GDP per capita. According to IMF data for 2025, this figure stood at 146 thousand US dollars. The gross inflow of foreign direct investment from Luxembourg into Kazakhstan since 2005 has exceeded 3.7 billion US dollars, reflecting sustained interest from Luxembourgish financial and investment structures in the Kazakh market.
