Poland Activates Fighter Jets and Air Defenses Amid Russian Strikes on Ukraine

@UlysMedia
In response to a massive Russian aerial assault on Ukraine, Poland has activated its air defense systems and scrambled fighter jets. The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces announced that allied aviation had commenced operations in the nation's airspace.
The military stated that alert fighter aircraft and an early warning plane were launched, while ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems were placed on their highest state of readiness. Officials emphasized these are precautionary measures aimed at protecting Polish airspace, particularly in regions adjacent to potentially threatened areas.
This is not the first time Poland has taken such defensive actions in reaction to strikes deep within Ukrainian territory. The heightened alert follows a significant escalation of attacks.
The incident recalls a previous event from the night of September 9-10, 2025, when up to 23 Russian drones violated Polish airspace. That breach prompted urgent debates in the European Parliament regarding the deliberate nature of the incursion by Russian unmanned aerial vehicles.
