The first week of joint US and Israeli military operations against Iran cost Washington approximately $6 billion, according to reports. The staggering expense comes amid ongoing uncertainty about what would constitute a victory in this conflict.

Pentagon representatives reportedly informed the US Congress this week that expenditures for the initial seven days of combat amounted to roughly $6 billion. Of this sum, about $4 billion was spent on munitions, including interceptor missiles used to repel retaliatory strikes from Iran.

The scale of the campaign has been immense. Since the conflict began, American and Israeli forces have conducted approximately four thousand strikes on targets within Iran. These have included ballistic missile sites, military headquarters, and naval facilities.

Despite this onslaught, Tehran is assessed to retain a significant portion of its military capabilities. Based on estimates presented to Congress in closed-door briefings by US officials, Iran still possesses roughly half of its missile arsenal and a substantial number of drones.

A strike on a complex in Tehran is cited as reflecting the convoluted reality of the war's first week: a devastating US-Israeli air campaign against a weakened adversary, yet with almost no clarity on what an endgame or victory might entail.

Since the onset of hostilities in the Middle East, a website titled "Cost of the Iran War" has appeared online, tracking US operational expenses against Iran in real time. As of March 8th, the total cost displayed had surpassed $8 billion.
