High-level talks between the Ministers of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan and Georgia, Yerzhan Sadenov and Gela Geladze, took place in Astana. The visit also included a meeting between Minister Geladze and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, where current issues of bilateral cooperation in law enforcement and crime prevention were discussed, confirming mutual interest in strengthening partnership.

The negotiations continued at the Kazakh Ministry of Internal Affairs. The parties reviewed the current state and future prospects for collaboration between their law enforcement agencies. They confirmed their readiness to deepen practical cooperation in key areas, including combating organized crime, drug trafficking, and cybercrime; extradition of criminals; exchange of operational information; countering illegal migration; and developing departmental education and personnel training systems.

As a result of the talks, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed. The document is aimed at expanding coordination, sharing experience, and fostering institutional development between the two ministries.

The practical part of the program involved familiarizing the Georgian delegation with the infrastructure and technologies used by Kazakh police. At the Ministry's Operational Control Center, they were shown intelligent video monitoring systems, analytical platforms, modern tools for coordinating police forces, as well as samples of modern police equipment and digital solutions used to ensure public safety. The Georgian side expressed interest in studying Kazakhstan's experience in digital transformation within its internal affairs bodies.

The delegation also visited specialized units of the Ministry, including a public service center. Particular attention was paid to personnel training. At the Academy of Management under the Kazakh Ministry of Internal Affairs, Georgian representatives learned about the system of departmental education and professional training for police officers. The delegation noted Kazakhstan's ongoing efforts to develop police education and strengthen its academic base.

The negotiations confirmed a high level of professional trust and mutual interest between Kazakhstan and Georgia in further expanding practical interaction.
