Mud Volcano Erupts in Colombia, Prompting Evacuations and Road Damage

A powerful mud volcano eruption has occurred in the municipality of San Juan de Urabá, located in Colombia's Antioquia department. The event prompted local authorities to initiate evacuations for residents in nearby areas.
The eruption took place close to a municipal water treatment plant and residential housing. Dramatic footage from the scene shows a massive column of mud and debris erupting from the volcano's vent, reaching a significant height into the air.
Officials have confirmed that no injuries have been reported as a result of the incident. However, damage has been recorded on the road leading to the Siete Vueltas area. Witnesses on social media have also reported ground fractures and cracked asphalt several kilometers from the eruption site.
Emergency services are currently on-site, continuing to assess the full impact and aftermath of the volcanic activity.
