Uzbekistan to Evacuate Citizens from Persian Gulf States

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has issued an order to organize the evacuation of the country's citizens currently located in states around the Persian Gulf. The directive was sent to Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov.

During a video conference meeting at the Cabinet of Ministers on March 2, specific tasks were outlined for the safe and organized repatriation of compatriots back to their homeland.

All airlines of Uzbekistan have been instructed to take measures for the return of citizens from the Persian Gulf countries. Particular attention is being paid to organizing repatriation flights on the Jeddah–Tashkent route.
