Uzbek President Mirziyoyev Transfers Historical Archives on Turkistan to Kazakh Leader Tokayev

During an informal meeting in Bukhara, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, presented his Kazakh counterpart, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, with a collection of archival materials. The handover was confirmed by official sources.

The documents provided to Kazakhstan include copies of papers, architectural drawings, and photographs from the 1920s to the 1950s. These materials pertain to two significant historical sites: the mausoleums of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi and Rabiya Sultan Begim in the city of Turkistan.

Officials highlighted that a substantial portion of these archives had not been previously available for academic study. The collection is considered to hold considerable cultural and historical value for understanding the region's heritage.

President Tokayev arrived in Uzbekistan for a working visit on April 11. As part of his itinerary, he also visited the memorial complex of Baha-ud-Din Naqshband Bukhari.
