The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has issued a travel advisory for its citizens due to the ongoing military escalation in the Middle East. The statement was published on the ministry's official website and Telegram channel on Friday, March 6.

"In connection with the continuation of hostilities in the Middle East, as well as the closure of airspace in most countries of the region, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly recommends that citizens of Kazakhstan refrain from all types of travel to these countries until active hostilities cease and the situation is fully normalized," reads the official announcement.

The list of countries includes Bahrain, Egypt, Israel, Yemen, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon, UAE, Oman, and Syria.

The ministry urged Kazakhstani nationals already present in the region to exercise heightened personal security measures. They are advised to avoid potentially dangerous areas and strictly follow instructions from local authorities. This includes immediately moving to shelters or bunkers during missile threats. Maintaining contact with Kazakhstan's diplomatic missions abroad as well as tour operators and airlines is also emphasized.

Earlier reports indicated that due to the worsening military-political situation in the Middle East, Kazakhstan's MFA and its foreign missions are operating on an enhanced schedule. Diplomatic posts in regional countries are conducting continuous monitoring of developments. They maintain constant communication with local authorities and Kazakhstani citizens while also making regular visits to airports for prompt response and immediate consular assistance.
