Kazakh Government Ministers Cast Votes in National Constitutional Referendum

Members of the Kazakh government, led by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, have participated in the nationwide referendum on adopting a new Constitution.
Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Yerlan Nysanbayev was among the first to vote, emphasizing the importance of citizen participation in key state decisions. He was followed by Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov and Emergency Situations Minister Chingis Arinov, who visited their respective polling stations.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development Zhaslan Madiyev also cast his ballot. Defense Minister, Lieutenant General of Aviation Dauren Kosanov voted at a polling station in Astana.
Minister of Education Zhuldyz Suleimenova voted at polling station No. 130 in Astana's D. Kunayev Lyceum School No. 66. Health Minister Akmara Alnazarova and Industry and Construction Minister Yersain Nagaspayev also participated, with the latter voting at station No. 305 in the capital.

Tourism and Sports Minister Yerbol Myrzabosynov took part in the referendum, with his ministry noting that its employees and representatives of the sports and tourism community across Kazakhstan and abroad were also voting.
Trade and Integration Minister Arman Shakkaliyev voted at polling station No. 162 in Astana and called on citizens to exercise their civic responsibility by participating.

Minister of Labor and Social Protection Askarbeck Yertayev voted at station No. 160, while Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Nurzhan Nurzhigitov highlighted the significance of the referendum. "As noted by the Head of State, all important decisions in the country are discussed and adopted by the entire people," he said. "Today's referendum is precisely such a moment when every Kazakhstani's vote is important, as it determines the country's long-term development course."
Finance Minister Madi Takiyev and Transport Minister Nurlan Saurambayev also cast their votes.
The referendum saw participation from other high-ranking officials including First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar, Deputy Prime Ministers Galymzhan Koishybaev, Kanat Bozymbayev, Serik Zhumangarin (also Minister of National Economy), and Aida Balayeva (also Minister of Culture and Information). By 10:30 AM local time, all members of the Cabinet had reportedly cast their votes.
