A high-level Kazakh delegation, led by the President's Representative for Interaction with the United States, Yerzhan Kazykhan, and Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin, held talks with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio during a visit to Washington.

At the meeting, Mr. Kazykhan conveyed greetings from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to U.S. President Donald Trump. He highlighted the dynamic development of bilateral relations, sustained political dialogue, and the expansion of practical cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States.

The discussions focused on implementing agreements reached during the summit of the two nations' leaders in November 2025 in the Oval Office. A key topic was advancing joint investment projects valued at approximately $20 billion.

The Kazakh side informed their American counterparts about large-scale political and socio-economic reforms underway in Kazakhstan. These transformations aim to modernize the state system, enhance the efficiency of government institutions, and strengthen the rule of law.

Special Representative Kazykhan also noted Kazakhstan's contribution to international peace and security efforts, including its work within peace councils. He emphasized the importance of implementing agreements that foster regional stability.

Both sides confirmed their mutual interest in further expanding trade, economic, and investment ties. They agreed that activating business links and realizing joint projects create new opportunities for deepening their Enhanced Strategic Partnership.

Mr. Kazykhan extended an official invitation to Secretary Rubio to visit Kazakhstan. In response, Secretary Rubio positively assessed the current level of bilateral cooperation and expressed readiness for its further intensification.

Following the talks, the parties agreed to continue their dialogue and strengthen Kazakh-American collaboration across all areas of their bilateral agenda.
