A 26-year-old Kazakh woman has gone missing in Vietnam, with her family reporting she was in a state of fear before losing contact. The woman, named Asem, disappeared on March 6 in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to her sister, Asem was planning to fly to Hanoi for a meeting with a Kazakh consul. However, she stopped communicating approximately 20 kilometers from the airport. Her relatives stated that at the time of her disappearance, Asem was extremely frightened and claimed someone was following her.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has confirmed it is involved in the search. "The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Vietnam is in contact with the citizen's relatives and is cooperating with the competent authorities of Vietnam," the ministry said in a statement. "Work is currently underway to establish her whereabouts. The situation is under the control of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan."

The family has appealed to the public for assistance, asking anyone in Vietnam or neighboring countries, as well as friends or relatives there, to come forward and help in the search. They have specifically requested people to monitor local tourist communities and groups on messaging platforms like WhatsApp and Telegram.
