Kazakhstan's IT Services Exports Surpass $1.1 Billion in 2025
Kazakhstan has achieved a significant milestone by becoming a net exporter of information technology services. In 2025, the country's revenue from selling IT services abroad reached $1.142 billion, according to official data.
This export figure is more than 2.6 times higher than the cost of importing foreign digital solutions, which amounted to $429 million for the same period. The positive balance confirms the growing maturity and international competitiveness of Kazakhstan's digital ecosystem.
Domestic IT solutions are now in demand in over 110 countries worldwide. The Astana Hub international technopark remains a key driver of this growth, with its resident companies generating exports worth $633 million. A total of 537 Kazakhstani firms are currently selling their products and services internationally, with key markets including Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, and the United Arab Emirates.
The ecosystem has created more than 32,500 jobs, while the e-residency program has granted over 6,000 foreign specialists access to Kazakhstan's digital infrastructure.
"The development of IT service exports is one of the key areas of our systematic work to build a full-fledged digital economy," said Gizzat Baitursynov, Chairman of the Committee for Digital Assets and Breakthrough Technologies. "The $1 billion threshold is an important indicator that the support measures we have built, ecosystem development, and international promotion are already yielding results."
The country is expanding its global footprint through international innovation hubs in Palo Alto (USA), Shanghai (China), and Dubai (UAE). A new strategic focus is Southeast Asia. A trilateral memorandum was recently signed between Astana Hub, IT Park Uzbekistan, and venture fund Big Sky Capital to launch a technology hub in Malaysia. This hub will serve as an entry point for Kazakhstani startups into new promising markets.
Acceleration programs like Silkway Accelerator and Hero Training continue to transform local ideas into competitive export products.
