@МЭ РК
The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan is preparing to extend a temporary ban on the export of gasoline, diesel fuel, and certain other petroleum products from the country.
According to a draft order, the prohibition on exporting petroleum products by road transport, including to member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), will be extended from May 21, 2026, until November 21, 2026. Simultaneously, restrictions on the export of light distillates by rail will remain in force.
Furthermore, an additional ban is planned for the period from July 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. This measure will prohibit exports outside the EAEU customs territory for a wider range of products. The list includes light distillates, aviation kerosene (jet fuel), diesel fuel, gasoils (a type of diesel), toluene, xylene, and petroleum bitumen.
The government states that these measures are aimed at ensuring Kazakhstan's energy security and maintaining stability in the domestic market for petroleum products.
