Political analyst Dosym Satpayev has sharply criticized recent statements that deny the tragedy of the Asharshylyk (Kazakh famine) and threaten Kazakhstan with an armed conflict. He characterized these remarks as a criminal set of calls to war, genocide, and the division of people into "grades," alongside promoting chauvinism and xenophobia.

Satpayev noted the symbolic timing of the provocative interview's release on the four-year anniversary of the war in Ukraine. He argued that such informational provocations clearly reveal who the aggressor is and who is the victim, highlighting those who carry imperial hatred versus those defending their independence and territorial integrity.

"In a word, we have the entire criminal set on display. A call to war, to genocide, to dividing people into grades and types, to chauvinism and xenophobia," Satpayev wrote. He emphasized that such rhetoric serves as an example that threats should always be taken seriously from those who begin by denying and rewriting history, as they may later attempt to seize one's future by force.

The controversial statements suggested that discussing the famine is dangerous for Kazakhstan's statehood and could lead to an armed conflict even more severe than the one in Ukraine.

Another political scientist, Gaziz Abishev, is now awaiting an official reaction from the Kremlin regarding these scandalous threats.
