Representatives of the Supreme Audit Chamber of Kazakhstan and the Accounting Chamber of Uzbekistan have held a meeting in Tashkent to discuss cooperation in the field of state audit.

The negotiations concluded with the signing of a Plan of Measures between the supreme audit institutions of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan for developing cooperation for 2026–2028.

This document was prepared as part of implementing a Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2025 on the sidelines of the XXV Congress of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), which was held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.

The new plan provides for expanding professional interaction between state structures in public auditing. Specifically, it includes exchanging experience and best practices, holding working meetings and expert consultations, and developing methodological cooperation.

A member of Kazakhstan's Supreme Audit Chamber, Rustem Nurpeisov, noted that joint work by the supreme audit bodies will contribute to greater transparency and efficiency in public administration. It will also strengthen trust between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

The implementation of the signed plan is expected to give additional impetus to the strategic partnership between the two countries and expand institutional interaction between their supreme audit institutions.
