Kazakhstan and Indonesia Strengthen Ties, Discuss UN and OIC Coordination

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Alibek Bakayev, has concluded a working visit to Jakarta, Indonesia. During his stay, he held substantive talks with senior Indonesian diplomats.
The Kazakh official met with Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Anis Matta and the Director General for Multilateral Cooperation at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tri Tharyat. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations across several key areas.
The parties explored avenues for deeper cooperation in political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. A significant portion of the dialogue was dedicated to strengthening coordination on the global stage.
Specific attention was paid to collaboration within major international organizations. The sides discussed joint work within the United Nations (UN) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), including matters related to Palestine.
The agenda also covered issues concerning joint participation in peacekeeping efforts and international stabilization forces, water resource management, and mutual support for various international initiatives. Both nations agreed to maintain close interaction on these shared priorities within the global agenda.
