Kazakhstan and ICAO Extend Agreement on Aviation Personnel Training

The Civil Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan (CAA) has renewed its training partnership with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The agreement was formalized during the ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium 2026 in Marrakech, Morocco.

The renewed Training Services Agreement outlines a comprehensive program for 2026, designed to enhance the qualifications of Kazakh aviation professionals. The training will be delivered through a mix of virtual and in-person courses, focusing on developing key competencies within the industry.

As part of this initiative, 23 specialized courses are planned for the coming year. Upon successful completion, participants will receive internationally recognized ICAO certificates, validating their expertise according to global standards.

Aslan Satzhanov, Executive Director for Flight Safety at the CAA, signed the document on behalf of Kazakhstan. He emphasized that this extension represents a strategic step in the long-term partnership between the CAA and ICAO. The collaboration is aimed at human capital development, strengthening the national system for training aviation specialists, enhancing flight safety levels, and implementing advanced practices and sustainable learning mechanisms within the sector.
