Kazakhstan and Germany Strengthen Political Dialogue in Astana Meeting

On April 6, 2026, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Isetov held talks with Gunther Krichbaum, the State Minister for Europe at Germany's Federal Foreign Office, during the latter's working visit to Astana.
The officials reviewed the current state and future prospects of Kazakh-German cooperation across political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
A significant part of the discussion focused on collaboration in transport and logistics. This included the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and the participation of German companies in implementing infrastructure projects within Kazakhstan.
The sides also exchanged views on pressing issues of international and regional agendas, including coordination of efforts on multilateral platforms.
Following the meeting, both parties confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening their partnership and expanding cooperation across all key areas.
