Kazakhstan and Armenia Strengthen Political Dialogue and Cooperation

Yerevan, April 10, 2026 – During an official visit to the Armenian capital, Kazakhstan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yermek Kosherbayev, held a meeting with the President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan.

The head of Kazakhstan's diplomatic service conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to his Armenian counterpart.

Minister Kosherbayev noted that Kazakhstan highly values the personal attention and contribution of the Armenian President to the development of bilateral relations. He expressed gratitude for President Khachaturyan's decision to participate in the upcoming Regional Environmental Summit scheduled for April 22-23, 2026, in Astana.

"Armenia is an important and reliable partner for Kazakhstan, with whom we share close and comprehensive ties. Today, Kazakh-Armenian relations are developing at a steady pace through a constructive approach and a readiness to consider each other's interests. This is facilitated by a trusting high-level political dialogue and actively developing inter-parliamentary and intergovernmental cooperation," emphasized the Kazakh Foreign Minister.

In turn, President Khachaturyan highlighted the relevance of the Regional Environmental Summit being organized in Astana under UN auspices. The Armenian leader stated that he fully shares Kazakhstan's position on the need to unite the efforts of the international community in finding joint responses to environmental challenges.

Concluding the meeting, President Khachaturyan stressed that Armenia attaches great importance to further developing and strengthening Armenian-Kazakh relations based on friendship and mutual respect.
