Kazakhstan and Russia Forge Partnership for Nuclear Energy Specialist Training

@UlysMedia
Kazakhstan and Russia have taken a significant step in strengthening their cooperation in the nuclear energy sector by signing a memorandum focused on personnel training. The agreement outlines plans to develop joint educational programs and expand collaboration in scientific research.
A key aspect of the partnership involves the potential training of staff from Kazakhstan's Institute of Nuclear Physics. These specialists may undertake postgraduate studies and scientific internships at Russia's National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute).
According to a statement from the Russian university, the memorandum is designed to establish a systematic framework for training personnel for nuclear power. Its goals include strengthening the scientific and educational partnership between the institutions and creating a sustainable model for interaction between science and higher education.
In a related development, it was announced that starting in 2026, Kazakhstan's "Bolashak" international scholarship program will introduce targeted training for specialists in the atomic industry. This initiative is tailored to meet Kazakhstan's strategic objectives in developing its nuclear energy capabilities.
This educational partnership follows earlier assurances from the Russian state corporation Rosatom, which stated it possesses the capability to train highly qualified specialists for nuclear power plants planned in Kazakhstan.
