During a meeting in Washington, D.C., President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed the signing of a major investment agreement between Kazakhstan's Ministry of Agriculture and the global company Mars, valued at approximately $180 million.

The President emphasized that this event marks the beginning of a strategically important partnership and reflects the high level of Kazakh-American cooperation.

The project will see Mars construct a new plant for producing pet food in the city of Alatau. This facility is designed to ensure deep processing of agricultural raw materials and the manufacture of high value-added products.

In turn, Mars CEO Paul Weirauch thanked President Tokayev for his support in realizing this mutually beneficial investment agreement. According to Weirauch, this initiative will serve as an excellent platform for Mars to expand its production and market reach across Central Asia and neighboring regions.
