President Tokayev Begins Working Visit to Uzbekistan

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived in Uzbekistan for a working visit at the invitation of his Uzbek counterpart, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The Kazakh leader was welcomed at Bukhara International Airport by President Mirziyoyev.

The official welcoming ceremony featured performances of national songs and dances, the raising of the state flags of both nations, and an honor guard. A military orchestra performed the national anthems of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

The agenda for the visit includes high-level bilateral negotiations between the two leaders. Furthermore, they are scheduled to tour several historical and cultural landmarks in ancient Bukhara and inspect industrial enterprises and other facilities in the region.
