Kazakhstan Evacuates Over 4,600 Citizens from Middle East

The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in coordination with other government agencies and domestic and foreign airlines, continues its operation to evacuate Kazakh citizens from Middle Eastern countries.

Since the escalation of tensions in the region began, a total of 27 special flights have been completed as of March 7. These flights have successfully brought more than 4,659 people back to Kazakhstan.

In a concentrated effort on March 5 and 6 alone, four airlines operated 15 flights, evacuating 2,549 passengers. Air Astana conducted three flights on the Jeddah–Atyrau–Almaty route. SCAT Airlines operated one flight from Muscat to Almaty.

FlyDubai carried out five flights from Dubai to Almaty and two flights to Astana. Additionally, Air Arabia completed four flights on the Sharjah–Almaty route.

The evacuation mission for Kazakh nationals is ongoing and is being adjusted according to the evolving situation in the region.
