The Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan is systematically implementing artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to enhance diagnostic accuracy, support clinical decision-making, and improve the overall quality of medical care for the population.

A key focus area is the use of AI in stroke diagnosis. The Cerebra automated diagnostic system has already been deployed in 9 stroke centers across the country. This technology enables the rapid identification of stroke signs at early stages, facilitating quicker clinical decisions and timely initiation of treatment. The implementation has led to a 40% increase in the use of thrombolytic therapy. Plans are in place to scale this solution to 33 stroke centers by 2026.

In oncology, solutions for early disease detection developed by WDSoft are being introduced. The application of AI technologies for analyzing radiological images allows for the early detection of breast and lung cancer. Thanks to AI, the detection rate for oncological diseases has increased by 32%, while diagnostic time has been reduced from 40 minutes to just 10 minutes. Currently, this project is operational in 190 medical organizations across 12 regions, with further expansion ongoing.

Modern technology is also actively used in dentistry. Aidentis solutions enable the automatic analysis of radiographic images, identification of pathological changes, and generation of treatment recommendations. As a result, image analysis time has been cut from one hour to one minute.

All digital solutions will be implemented on the basis of a Unified Medical Data Repository. This will ensure the integration of medical information systems, increase healthcare management efficiency, and create a foundation for the further development of intelligent medicine in Kazakhstan.
