Iran Warns Regional States Against Supporting US, Vows to Target American Bases
@TengriNews
Iran has issued a stark warning to Middle Eastern nations, demanding they refrain from supporting any US military actions against it. In return, Tehran promises not to attack their territories. The ultimatum was delivered by Mohammad-Mehdi Tabatabaei, Deputy Head of the Iranian President's Office for Public Relations.
The official stated that Iran's message is clear: if regional countries do not cooperate with a potential US attack on Iran, then Iran will not strike them. He emphasized this position in a post on the social media platform X.
Simultaneously, Tehran threatened a forceful response to any continued "aggression," vowing to launch attacks on American military bases located across the Middle East. This dual-track approach combines an offer of non-aggression with a direct threat against US assets.
Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of Iran's Parliament, reinforced this stance. He declared that peace in the Middle East is impossible as long as US military bases remain in the region. "US military bases in the region have become a platform for operations against Iran," Ghalibaf stated. "The retaliatory strike will be delivered to the location from which any attack is carried out."
"As long as American bases exist in the Middle East region, peace will not be achieved. All statesmen and the people of Iran are united in this opinion," said Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf.
In a related development, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian made new statements aimed at regional diplomacy. He expressed Tehran's hope to maintain relations with Middle Eastern countries over whose territories Iran launched strikes in response to attacks from the US and Israel.
Pezeshkian wrote on X that Iran has always emphasized the importance of preserving friendly relations with regional states based on good neighborliness and mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The president clarified that Iran conducts "defensive operations exclusively against targets and locations that are the source and starting point for aggressive actions against Iran," considering them "legitimate targets." Previously, Pezeshkian stated that Tehran decided not to strike neighboring countries unless attacked from their soil and apologized to states that came under Iranian fire following US and Israeli actions.
