Iran Accuses US and Israel of Terrorism, Vows Retaliation for Leader's Death

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Uzbekistan has issued a sharp condemnation, holding the United States and Israel responsible for what it describes as a terrorist act leading to the death of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei. Ambassador Mohammad Ali Eskandari made the accusation, framing the attack as a politically motivated strike aimed at serving the interests of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Ambassador Eskandari stated that the assault, carried out during the holy month of Ramadan, targeted high-ranking military commanders and civilians. He detailed alleged atrocities, including deliberate bombings of civilian infrastructure such as hospitals, Red Crescent centers, and schools. The embassy claims that among the victims were 168 girls aged seven to twelve, calling it the largest mass killing of schoolchildren in history.
The Iranian envoy asserted that these actions violate fundamental moral principles, international law, and specific articles of the UN Charter concerning sovereignty and territorial integrity. He criticized what he termed as global inaction in the face of such crimes.
Eskandari vowed that Iran's armed forces would demonstrate their resolve and power, ensuring such terrorist acts do not go unpunished. He clarified that any retaliatory operations would be directed solely against American military bases and US-Israeli intelligence centers in the region. The ambassador emphasized that Iran maintains friendly relations with neighboring countries like the UAE and Kuwait.
Addressing recent statements from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un about providing missiles to Tehran, Eskandari dismissed any notion of external assistance. He stressed Iran's capability to defend its own interests independently.
On economic matters, despite regional tensions, Eskandari noted that trade turnover with Uzbekistan continues to grow robustly. He also firmly denied Israeli accusations regarding large-scale financial support for Hezbollah, stating Iran offers only moral support to resistance movements.
