The temporary governing council of Iran has issued a decree to cease missile strikes against neighboring nations, except in cases where they initiate aggression against the Islamic Republic. This significant policy shift was announced by Iran's President, Masoud Pezeshkian.

"The council decided yesterday to no longer carry out strikes or launch missiles at neighboring countries, unless they attack Iran," President Pezeshkian stated. "We have said many times that they are our brothers. And we must jointly establish peace and stability in the region." The president also extended apologies for previous actions and emphasized that Iranian armed forces had taken all necessary measures to defend the country from potential attacks by the United States and Israel.

Pezeshkian urged for existing conflicts to be resolved through diplomatic channels, cautioning against becoming "pawns of Washington and Tel-Aviv." This announcement follows a period of heightened regional tension that began on February 28th, when the U.S. And Israel initiated a large-scale operation against Iran.

Israeli officials stated the operation's goal was to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. Concurrently, Washington threatened to destroy Iran's navy and defense industry and called on Iranian citizens to overthrow the regime.

In response to these actions, Iran had conducted retaliatory strikes targeting Israeli territory and American military installations across the Middle East. These strikes impacted several countries in the region, including the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Kuwait.
