In a major evacuation effort, Kazakhstan brought home over 1,700 of its citizens from the Middle East during the night of March 7-8. A total of eleven flights were operated by airlines including Air Astana, Scat, FlyDubai, and Air Arabia to facilitate the return.

The operation successfully transported 1,786 passengers back to Kazakhstan. Authorities have confirmed that further flights are scheduled for March 8 to continue repatriating citizens using both Kazakh and foreign carriers.

This recent surge is part of a larger ongoing mission. Since March 3, a total of 37 flights have been conducted from the Middle East to Kazakhstan. These operations have resulted in the safe return of 6,254 individuals to their home country.

The work to bring Kazakh citizens back is being carried out in close coordination between authorized state bodies and the involved airlines. The evacuation process remains active as officials work to ensure all who wish to return can do so.
