Iran's Supreme Leader Declares Victory Over US and Israel, Demands Reparations

In a major address to the nation, Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei declared that the Islamic Republic has achieved victory in its conflict with the United States and Israel. He framed the ongoing confrontation as a "third epic sacred defense" and asserted that the Iranian people have emerged triumphant.

"Today, and up to this very moment, it can be confidently said that you have achieved victory in the third epic sacred defense," Khamenei stated in his speech, which was published by his office. He emphasized that Tehran does not seek war but will not retreat from its rights, even as potential peace talks with Washington loom.

The Supreme Leader issued a firm demand for financial compensation from both nations for damages incurred during the hostilities. "We will definitely demand compensation for every bit of damage caused and for the blood of martyrs that was shed," he vowed.

Khamenei also reaffirmed Iran's strategic control over the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil shipping chokepoint. "We will definitely take the management of the Strait of Hormuz to a new stage," he declared, signaling an intent to strengthen Tehran's grip on the vital waterway.

His speech carried a strong undercurrent of vengeance for Iranian casualties. He spoke of a "resolute will for revenge" living on in the hearts of Iranians for those killed, including former leader Ali Khamenei and others who died in what he termed "imposed wars."

Addressing neighboring Gulf states, Khamenei urged them to "take the right side" and not succumb to what he called "the deceitful promises of devils." His declaration comes against a backdrop of heightened regional tension following a reported two-week ceasefire agreement brokered by US President Donald Trump, who has warned Iran of severe consequences if the deal collapses.
