President Tokaev Meets Georgian Interior Minister to Discuss Security Cooperation

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan held a meeting with Georgia's Minister of Internal Affairs, Gela Geladze, to discuss key areas of bilateral cooperation in law enforcement and crime prevention.
During the talks, President Tokayev emphasized that Georgia is an important and reliable partner for Kazakhstan in the South Caucasus region. He highlighted that the relations between the two nations, which have deep historical roots, have stood the test of time.
Minister Geladze briefed President Tokayev on the work of Georgian law enforcement agencies in ensuring the safety of foreign tourists, including citizens of Kazakhstan.
The Ministries of Internal Affairs of both countries expressed their intention to strengthen collaboration in several critical areas. These include combating organized crime, drug trafficking, cybercrime, and extremism. The parties also agreed to enhance the exchange of best practices and cooperate on personnel training.
Concluding the meeting, President Tokayev conveyed his greetings to Georgian President Mikhail Kavelashvili and Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
