Tokayev and Georgian Interior Minister Discuss Security Cooperation

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with Georgia's Minister of Internal Affairs, Gela Geladze, to discuss key aspects of bilateral cooperation in law enforcement and crime prevention.
Tokayev emphasized that Georgia is a significant and reliable partner for Kazakhstan in the South Caucasus region. He stated that the relationship between the two nations, which has deep historical roots, has stood the test of time.

In turn, Minister Geladze briefed President Tokayev on the work of Georgian law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of foreign tourists, including citizens of Kazakhstan.
The Ministries of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan and Georgia intend to strengthen cooperation in areas such as combating organized crime, drug trafficking, cybercrime, extremism, as well as exchanging best practices and training personnel.

Concluding the meeting, the Head of State conveyed greetings to Georgian President Mikhail Kavelashvili and Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
