Explosion Targets US Embassy in Oslo, Norway

An explosive device detonated outside the United States Embassy in Oslo, Norway, in the early hours of March 8. The incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. Local time near the consular entrance to the diplomatic mission.

Norwegian police have confirmed that the embassy was deliberately targeted. Preliminary reports indicate the blast caused minor damage to the building and resulted in some minor injuries. No serious casualties have been reported.
