Kazakhstan's Minister of Industry and Construction, Yersain Nagaspayev, held talks with German and Bavarian officials to deepen industrial cooperation. The discussions centered on expanding trade, economic relations, and strategic investment partnerships.

In a meeting with Gunther Krichbaum, the State Minister for Europe at Germany's Federal Foreign Office, the parties highlighted the strategic importance of bilateral projects. Germany was recognized as one of Kazakhstan's key European partners.

Separate negotiations took place with Eric Beisswenger, Bavaria's State Minister for European Affairs and International Cooperation. Minister Nagaspayev emphasized the critical role of German investment, noting that approximately 90% of it is directed into Kazakhstan's manufacturing sector. Over 1,100 enterprises with German capital are currently operating successfully in the country.

"Bavaria is an industrial leader, and we are extremely interested in deepening industrial cooperation, technology transfer, and creating joint 'German clusters' based on our special economic zones," said Yersain Nagaspayev. "Kazakhstan has 17 such zones where investors are granted significant benefits and preferences. We invite Bavarian businesses to actively engage in the work of our SEZs."

The parties signed a memorandum of intent to establish a working group for economic, scientific, and agricultural cooperation between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Free State of Bavaria.

Following the meetings, both sides expressed confidence in a swift transition to the practical implementation of new joint projects. Major German companies from Bavaria, including Siemens, Knauf Group, Horsch, Linde Group, and Airbus, maintain a strong presence in the Kazakh market and continue to strengthen their positions.
