President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a decree relieving Yerbolat Dosayev of his duties as Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan.

Dosayev was appointed to this senior role within the presidential administration on September 19, 2025, meaning his tenure lasted approximately six months. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Akim (Mayor) of Almaty from January 2022 until May 2025.

The official's extensive career in public service and finance spans decades. A graduate of the Almaty Power Engineering Institute in 1993, Dosayev began his career in the private sector before moving into high-level government positions.

His notable posts include Vice Minister of Finance in 2000, Minister of Finance in June 2003, and Minister of Health in April 2004. He later served as Minister of National Economy starting in August 2014 and as Deputy Prime Minister from August 2017.

From February 2019 to January 2022, Yerbolat Dosayev held the position of Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan. He also has significant experience in the banking sector, having led institutions such as KazInvestBank and the national managing holding "Baiterek."
