Kazakhstan's Energy Ministry Builds Unified Digital Network for Entire Fuel and Energy Sector

@МЭ РК
As part of the national Digital Qazaqstan strategy, the Ministry of Energy has begun constructing a unified digital framework. This system will connect the entire infrastructure of the country's Fuel and Energy Complex (FEC) into a transparent online network.
The first phase of this technological transformation is already complete. The ministry has successfully implemented digital tools for monitoring preparations for the heating season and has fully automated the process for approving electricity tariffs. The distribution of oil and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been moved to an electronic format, eliminating human error and ensuring fair market access for all participants.
In the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, the ministry is launching the creation of a virtual architecture for the industry. A key innovation will be the introduction of "digital twin" technology for strategic power generation and oil & gas facilities. Using intelligent algorithms, this will allow for real-time analysis of equipment wear and tear, shifting from reactive accident response to predictive prevention.
Concurrently, a comprehensive hydrocarbon traceability system is being introduced. The route of every ton of raw material and fuel will be digitized at every stage—from the oil well to the end consumer's fuel tank. This measure will ensure absolute supply transparency and make any shadow turnover in the petroleum products market technically impossible.
For long-term planning, an integrated master plan for FEC development is being prepared. It will be based on digital mathematical models capable of accurately forecasting energy consumption growth, synchronizing work across different economic sectors, and assessing investment risks.
This large-scale transformation aims to deliver a high level of industrial safety, ensure uninterrupted operation of the energy system, and enhance Kazakhstan's investment appeal.
