Kazakhstan Achieves $1.14 Billion IT Services Export in 2025
Kazakhstan has reached a significant milestone, becoming a net exporter of IT services. According to official data, the country's export of digital services in 2025 amounted to $1.142 billion, while imports stood at $429 million.
This export volume is more than 2.6 times higher than the cost of imported foreign digital solutions, solidifying the nation's position as a net technology exporter. Kazakhstani IT products and services are now in demand in over 110 countries worldwide.
The Astana Hub international technopark remains a central driver of this growth. Its resident companies exported services worth $633 million last year. A total of 537 firms are now selling their products abroad, with key markets including Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, and the UAE.
The ecosystem has created over 32,500 jobs. Furthermore, Kazakhstan's e-residency program has granted more than 6,000 foreign specialists access to its digital infrastructure.
"The development of IT service exports is a key focus of our systematic work to build a full-fledged digital economy," said Gizzat Baitursynov, Chairman of the Committee for Digital Assets and Breakthrough Technologies. "The $1 billion threshold is an important indicator that our support measures and ecosystem development are yielding results. Our task now is to consolidate this growth."
To expand its global footprint, Kazakhstan is developing a network of international innovation hubs from Silicon Valley to Southeast Asia. New partnerships were recently forged at the CEVF 2026 forum in Tashkent.
A trilateral memorandum was signed between Astana Hub, Uzbekistan's IT Park, and the Big Sky Capital venture fund. This collaboration aims to launch a technology hub in Malaysia, which will serve as a gateway for Kazakh startups entering promising new markets in Southeast Asia.
