@TengriNews
In Astana, the investigation into criminal cases concerning the illegal collection of funds from equity construction participants has been completed. The total damage caused is estimated at 8.2 billion tenge.
The criminal cases against a group of individuals have been forwarded to court. Their actions inflicted particularly large-scale damage, affecting the interests of more than 426 families.
Investigators established that the organizers of the fraudulent scheme collected money from citizens for the construction of residential complexes "Oasis," R-Club, and R-ClubDeluxe without obtaining the required permits, in violation of legal requirements. The raised funds were not used for their intended purpose, and the construction of the facilities was carried out improperly.
To secure civil claims from the victims, a court-sanctioned seizure was imposed on movable and immovable property belonging to the suspects. This includes 10 apartments, 36 land plots, 16 non-residential premises, and 49 vehicles.
Twelve suspects have been placed in pre-trial detention.
The city prosecutor's office urges citizens to thoroughly verify whether a developer has a valid permit to attract equity participation funds before purchasing an apartment. This precaution can help prevent fraud and protect one's rights.
